Iron Sail, a collective effort aimed at contributing to the development of the blockchain gaming space, has successfully completed the alpha launch of its latest game, Ark Rivals, in collaboration with game studio, Topebox.
Released on 22 January, Ark Rivals is an online multiplayer NFT game combining elements of sci-fi, action and strategy. The game centers on resource wars, global economy control and political domination.
Ark Rivals’ storyline primarily revolves around faction wars between Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Choosing a side among the five factions, players design their bases and build up defenses, including the use of turrets, flamethrowers, cannons and landmines, to protect their arks. They can also create their own commanders, ships and squadrons to attack the enemy’s bases, as they fight global wars to fight for resources that can later be earned and mined. The ships, gears and commanders designed by the players may also be converted to and sold as NFTs.
A total of 1,000 slots were released for the alpha launch. The alpha test will go live on 8 February 2022.
