Gemini adds support for bitcoin cash (BCH)

December 8, 2018 By Crypto Reporter

New York-based cryptocurrency exchange Gemini, owned by the Winklevoss twins, has announced support for bitcoin bash (BCH).

Bitcoin cash is the fifth digital asset available on the Gemini platform, joining bitcoin (BTC), ether (ETH), litecoin (LTC), and zcash (ZEC).

The exchange specified that, at the moment, the support will be provided for Bitcoin ABC network only.

“Any cryptocurrency sent to Gemini over a blockchain that we do not support, such as Bitcoin SV (BSV), will be invalid and irrecoverable,” said Eric Winer, VP of Engineering at Gemini. “We are continuing to evaluate Bitcoin SV over the coming weeks or months, and we may or may not choose to support withdrawals and/or trading of Bitcoin SV in the future.”
