XPlace Adds Support for xStocks, Letting Users Spend Against Their Stocks Without Having to Sell Them

September 3, 2026 By GlobeNewswire

Users will be able to borrow against tokenized stocks like Apple, Tesla, Nvidia, and Google, alongside crypto assets like BTC, ETH, and SOL

Dubai, Sept. 03, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Financial service platform XPlace today announced it will be adding support for tokenized equities through xStocks. Beginning August 19, 2026 eligible users will be able to manage supported xStocks, such as Apple, Tesla, Nvidia, Google, alongside their crypto assets and use them as collateral to borrow for everyday spending. A customer holding tokenized shares can put that value to work immediately - without selling out of the position. XPlace already supports borrowing against crypto assets including BTC, ETH and SOL.

“People increasingly hold wealth across crypto, equities and other on-chain assets, but the products available to them still treat those holdings as separate worlds,” said Artem Ponomarev, Founder and CEO of XPlace. “By adding support for xStocks, we are giving eligible clients one interface through which they can manage more of their portfolio, put supported assets to work as collateral and access spending power while choosing to remain invested. This is an important step in XPlace’s evolution from a crypto card into a broader self-directed digital wealth platform.”

Assets deposited as collateral will continue to have the potential to generate a variable yield through Kamino's markets, with rates that are dynamic and subject to market conditions. Alongside the update, XPlace is introducing fixed borrowing rates this week; beyond that option, borrowing against xStocks works the same way borrowing against cryptocurrency already does on the platform. In every case, users themselves choose when to trade, deposit, or borrow; XPlace simply provides the interface.

According to publicly available on-chain data, xStocks as an instrument have processed more than $37 billion in cumulative transaction volume across exchanges and on-chain activity, with over $13.7 billion of that settled directly on-chain.

About XPlace

XPlace is a financial platform built for crypto’s high-net-worth generation - people whose wealth is digital and who want to live off it without selling. Through a Visa card and on-chain borrowing, members spend against their portfolios, earn yield through Kamino on Solana, and access membership tiers from Basic to Platinum. Non-custodial by design. XPlace makes money only when its clients do, through a credit spread, membership and FX, keeping incentives aligned.

Access to xStocks is subject to regional eligibility and is not available to US persons or in certain restricted jurisdictions, as set out in XPlace's Terms and Conditions
