Mantle, a high-performance, modular Ethereum layer-2 network, has announced a partnership with Ankr ahead of its upcoming mainnet launch in Q2 2023. Ankr, a web3 development hub and node infrastructure provider, is the latest partner to join the Mantle ecosystem, and will be the first remote procedure call (RPC) connection and gateway deployed on Mantle — improving performance and efficiency for developers building on the network.
Ankr’s Mantle RPCs are a gateway for developers to interface directly with Mantle. Acting as a blockchain router that relays on-chain information between Mantle nodes, decentralized applications (dApps), and ultimately end-users, RPCs enable the execution of necessary tasks such as transactions, the population of wallet balances, and fetching ownership information. With Ankr joining the Mantle ecosystem, developers will be able to easily create scalable and secure dApps with streamlined access to the Mantle blockchain.
Chandler Song, co-founder & CEO at Ankr said: “We are excited to be an early supporter of Mantle with our RPC service that makes it even easier for developers to start building on the ecosystem. Ahead of Mantle’s highly anticipated mainnet launch, the addition of Ankr’s products for the blockchain will further empower builders of web3’s future with end-to-end developer resources and comprehensive toolkits for any use-case.”
Key to enabling various applications to interact with dozens of supported blockchains, Ankr provides geo-distributed Mantle RPCs comprising blockchain nodes running globally for low latency and reliable connections. By granting unbridled access to advanced developer tools, developers on Mantle are now able to connect with a cluster of high-performance nodes that hold vital information to build and operate dApps with Mantle’s hyperscaled layer-2 network capabilities, which benefits from enhanced security from Ethereum via Mantle’s decentralized data availability layer that also enables exponentially lower fees.
Arjun Kalsy, head of ecosystem at Mantle said: “Our partnership with Ankr is a significant milestone in our progress towards collaborative optimization of modular architecture. While simultaneously hyperscaling layer-2 network design, we’re working with partners who can help us achieve a broader, decentralized node infrastructure. Together with the Ankr team, we’re making things easier for builders, developing the infrastructural building blocks that will help us realize a decentralized, open-source, and interoperable blockchain ecosystem.”
Aligned with Mantle’s vision for a more collaborative, decentralized economy to showcase the potential of tokenized governance, Ankr’s provision of a global node delivery system and an all-in-one developer toolkit will empower dApp developers to build on Mantle with confidence. Creating a robust and highly-efficient blockchain infrastructure greatly simplifies the process of building, operating and maintaining decentralized applications of the new web, ultimately powering the next stage of growth and innovation across the web3 ecosystem at large.
Utilizing an orthogonal, partnership-driven approach to ecosystem building, Mantle envisions a shared decentralized future that achieves capital efficiency through collaborative technology and ecosystem development.
Mantle is a high-performance Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) modular L2 network built by BitDAO and governed by the $BIT community. Mantle’s modular rollup architecture separates transaction execution, data availability, and transaction finality. As the first L2 network partner for restaking protocol EigenLayer, Mantle directly inherits security from Ethereum while offering high performance at low fees.
As the world’s first DAO-led L2 network, Mantle is pioneering a vision for a more collaborative decentralized economy to showcase the potential of tokenized governance. To support the next-generation of innovators, builders, and developers, Mantle is growing its ecosystem via its EcoFund, which helps to manage a catalyzed capital pool of $200M. Mantle also offers a Grants Program that provides milestone-based funding to promising projects that help expand, secure, and decentralize the Mantle Network.
