Bitso, Latin America’s leading crypto exchange, has announced that it will be the newest sponsor of the São Paulo Futebol Clube, (SPFC), Brazil’s Soccer Club with more international titles, making Bitso the club’s first crypto exchange sponsor.
Starting this month, and for the next three years, Bitso’s brand logo will be incorporated and showcased on SPFC’s official team jerseys. The sponsorship agreement with the SPFC is part of Bitso’s strategy to continue raising awareness of the benefits of crypto as it expands into the Brazilian market. This opens an important path for the cryptocurrency and fintech industry to Brazilian soccer fans and the Brazilian market.
“We are very proud to announce this partnership and support the Brazilian soccer team with the most international titles. Most importantly, Bitso and São Paulo share a common goal of pursuing excellence, and, now, we will happily pursue this together from this day forward,” said Beatriz Oliveira, Head of Marketing for Latin America at Bitso. “This partnership kicks off Bitso’s support for Brazilian sports, aligned with our growth goals in Brazil as we work to demonstrate that the crypto market is reliable, secure and simple.”
This new partnership will provide SPFC fans with benefits, advantages, and exclusive experiences in Morumbi stadium. A portion of the stadium – with a capacity for over 18 thousand people – will be reserved for Bitso fans and both entities are already working together to enable purchases and tickets through cryptocurrencies.
“We’re thrilled to have the logo of the leading cryptocurrency company in Latin America on our tricolor jersey, and work together to provide millions of São Paulo fans with new and innovative experiences on and off the field. With this partnership, we are opening a new chapter in the history of our club”, celebrates Eduardo Toni, executive director of marketing at São Paulo Futebol Clube.
With over 3.7 million users, Bitso is well established in Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, and Colombia. Through this alliance, both the club and the company envisage exploring new opportunities to accept payments in cryptocurrencies, to provide more benefits to 20 million fans in Brazil, with simpler, more reliable, innovative and safer shopping experiences.
