Celsius Network’s CelPay empowers crypto holders to send and receive digital assets with no wait, no fees, and no keys

December 16, 2018 By Crypto Reporter PR

Celsius Network, the Blockchain lending platform, announces the launch of CelPay, which empowers users to send crypto quickly, easily, and with no fees or keys.

One of the biggest pain points holding back crypto adoption is the clunkiness of trying to transfer coins to others, especially to those who don’t yet have wallets. Send times can be sluggish and unpredictable, you have to find and enter the long and complex public key of your desired recipient, and many times a test transaction is needed first with a verbal confirmation that it was received. Fees and gas prices fluctuate and can be crippling. While crypto is supposed to meet new levels of efficiency and authenticity, when it comes to daily use, there’s just no easy-pay solution available, leaving many consumers out of options when trying to pay for a cab or a coffee or splitting a meal with friends.

With CelPay, the mobile instant crypto transfer tool, coin holders can overcome all of those obstacles. Through CelPay, users can send all Celsius-supported assets (ETH, BTC, BCH, CEL, LTC, XRP, and OMG) instantly via any messenger, email or social media, with no fees, to anyone. Senders select the value in USD or coins and which of their currencies to send, and the transfer appears instantly as a link via email, text, social media, etc. Anyone in the world can now receive a CelPay transfer, with or without a Wallet, and first-time users can claim their crypto after filling out KYC.

“CelPay is a huge step toward crypto mass adoption,” said Alex Mashinsky, CEO of Celsius. “At Celsius, we’re looking to grow the community to over 100M crypto users, and user-friendly, practical tools like CelPay are exactly what it is going to take to achieve that goal. Crypto empowers individuals to free themselves from predatory banking practices, but that can only be a reality if transferring crypto is just as painless as dealing with fiat. CelPay accomplishes exactly that. ”

Alex Mashinsky, CEO of Celsius

The feature has already caught on quickly. In future updates, users will be able to import recipients from their contacts and Facebook friends, making transactions even simpler.

About
Celsius addresses the financial needs of today’s consumers worldwide through a democratized interest income and lending platform accessible via a mobile app. Built on the belief that financial services should only do what is in the best interests of the community, Celsius is a modern platform where membership provides access to curated financial services that are not available through traditional financial institutions. Crypto holders can earn interest by transferring their coins to their Celsius Wallet and borrow USD against their crypto collateral at interest rates as low as 5% APR.
