Today, leading enterprise-grade staking platform Kiln, announces it will be launching a new integration with Ledger Live enabling Liquid Staking Token (LST) restaking on EigenLayer through Kiln’s Ledger Live dApp. This will be the first time that Ledger Live’s over 1.5 million users will be able to restake on EigenLayer.
The integration will enable Ledger users to restake safely without leaving Ledger Live’s interface as well as benefiting from clear-signing, thanks to Kiln’s Ledger Nano plugin reviewed by Ledger’s security team. They will also be able to accumulate EigenLayer restaking points and AVS rewards by depositing LSTs into EigenLayer pools through Kiln. Restaking has proven to be a significant trend in crypto investing in early 2024, with EigenLayer’s TVL eclipsing $16B in late April 2024.
Laszlo Szabo, Kiln Co-Founder and CEO, reacted to the announcement, saying: “Access to LST restaking on Ledger Live is a great next step in our vision to democratize digital asset value creation for everyone. We’ve made the process straightforward, so it should take anyone less than a minute to get rewarded.”
Jean-Francois Rochet, VP of Consumer Services at Ledger, says: “Ledger Live is the safest and more secure way to engage with digital assets, allowing you to do so directly from self-custody. Our vision for Ledger Live is an open platform with the best third-party service providers in the ecosystem. With LST staking through Kiln, Ledger customers now have even more ways to engage with their digital value.”
Kiln has been a leading operator on EigenLayer since the AVS mainnet launch on April 9th, and is currently operating all mainnet AVSs.
