Launch Of .Crypto Exceeds 30,000 Transactions in Last 24 Hours
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--$Crypto #Blockchain--Unstoppable Domains, a software company building domain names on blockchains, has secured the top spot as the most active DApp on the Ethereum blockchain, according to trusted monitoring service Dapp.com.
Unstoppable Domains’ ascent to the top of the DApp charts follows the launch of their .crypto registry - a blockchain domain name system. The launch of the .crypto registry on chain allows users to claim their .crypto domains and add their cryptocurrency addresses to their domains for use in payments.
According to data from Dapp.com, Unstoppable Domains is now the most active application on Ethereum. Within its first 24 hours post-launch, more than 30,000 .crypto transactions were processed by users claiming their domains, adding cryptocurrency addresses for their domains for payments, and connecting IPFS hashes to their domains for websites.
“This new standard for cryptocurrency payments improves the user experience by replacing long, complicated addresses with a single, easy-to-read, human name,” commented Unstoppable Domains co-founder, Brad Kam. “Not only can users attach more than 50 different crypto addresses to their .crypto domain to receive payments, but users can also use the same domain to launch censorship-resistant websites.”
To date, Unstoppable Domains has registered more than 180,000 blockchain domain names, including more than 100,000 .zil domains -- the company’s first domain extension.
