RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Octo, a premier provider of emerging technology and IT modernization services for the Federal Government, announced today that Cynthia (Cindy) Walker has joined as Vice President of Octo’s Data Center of Excellence (CoE). Cindy is an innovator and industry thought leader who has devoted her career to helping federal agencies exploit data to improve performance, reduce risks, increase efficiencies, and deliver enhanced services to citizens. She has served as a strategic advisor and mentor to CIOs, CDOs, and IT leaders in defense, intelligence, health care, financial regulatory, and civilian federal government organizations. She brings her passion for making a difference with data to Octo where she is responsible for leading and expanding Octo’s data management and analytics services, solutions, and offerings.
“It's all about improving outcomes. That is my focus and Octo’s focus – delivering innovations and proven approaches to managing and using data and information to enhance the mission,” Walker said. “It is exhilarating and important work. Our track record and laser focus are on enhancing the mission. That means helping a national defense client leverage predictive analytics to inform decisions that enhance military readiness, a financial regulator to proactively identify and mitigate risks to the financial system, a health care organization govern and share high quality data to improve health outcomes for underserved communities – that’s what it’s all about.”
Prior to joining Octo, Walker devoted her 35-year career to helping Federal Government organizations overcome significant mission challenges and raise their levels of data literacy to make informed decisions proactively.
