Leading OKR SaaS Provider Adds Two Executives with Start-up Unicorn Chops
DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--#OKR--Gtmhub, the leading provider of enterprise orchestration software, announced that it added two senior executives to further accelerate already significant growth. Eric Marterella has joined as Chief Revenue Officer and Jeremy Epstein comes on board as Chief Marketing Officer. Both Marterella and Epstein are veterans of Sprinklr, the $2.7 billion double unicorn.
The Gtmhub platform is based on the proven Objectives and Key Results (OKR) methodology. With enterprise clients such as Adobe, Société Générale, Red Hat, TomTom, DocuSign, and Lumen (formerly Century Link), Gtmhub provides continuous strategic clarity across teams, functions, and business units. The company serves more than 800 organizations and over 100,000 users in 75 countries, helping mission-driven organizations remain focused on what matters most. Since raising a $9 million Series A round in November 2019, Gtmhub has grown by more than 500% in customers and 1,100% in users. The company has shown particular strength in the ecommerce, financial services, and consumer brand verticals.
Since earning his degree from Virginia Polytechnic, incoming Chief Revenue Officer Eric Marterella has garnered sales leadership experience in the IT industry for over eighteen years. Marterella has consistently built high performing global teams and consulted with major global clients at companies including Digex, AT&T, Cisco, and SafeGuard Cyber.
Marterella was a founding enterprise sales leader at Sprinklr. In a mere 17 quarters, Eric’s “Spirit to Serve” attitude enabled him to increase revenue consecutively quarter over quarter and develop a sales team that aided in the company’s growth from its modest beginnings to its current $2.7 billion valuation. Beyond the over $75M in annual recurring revenue, Marterella drove his “One Team” philosophy and contributed to a group with the highest customer and employee retention rate across the entire company.
“Even before COVID-19, senior executives were asking the question of how to best drive consistent strategy execution across the organization,” said Ivan Osmak, CEO of Gtmhub. “Today, demand for a methodology and platform that helps enterprises anticipate disruption, adapt strategy, and realign execution is higher than ever. We are thrilled to have Eric, one of the most seasoned start-up enterprise sales leaders around, join us in helping the world’s largest companies attain 360-degree alignment.”
Also joining the Gtmhub team in the role of Chief Marketing Officer is Jeremy Epstein, who has more than 20 years of experience marketing enterprise technology solutions. Epstein spent 6 years at Microsoft and brings a global perspective with stints in Frankfurt and Tokyo. Jeremy served as the first marketing leader at Sprinklr, navigating efforts from Series A through $1.8 billion “Unicorn” status, as the company grew from 30 people to nearly 1400 over the course of 4 years.
Known for his orthogonal approach to marketing, Epstein has written 5 books on marketing, over 200 articles, more than 1000 blog posts and is a sought-after keynote speaker, with presentations in more than 20 countries. In addition to his significant marketing experience in both enterprises and start-ups, Epstein is a well-regarded and passionate technologist who is a leading authority on blockchain and cryptoeconomics, having briefed 3-star generals at the Pentagon and worked with some of the most cutting-edge teams in the world such as Dapper Labs and Zcash.
“I’ve known Jeremy for nearly a decade and his fresh approach to solving marketing challenges makes him ideally suited for a category-creating platform such as Gtmhub,” said Reid Christian, partner at Charles River Ventures. “There are few marketers in the world with his depth, breadth, and perspective. He’s the best in the business.”
Highlighted by Gartner as a “Recommended Vendor” under OKR and KPI management in a recent research note, Gtmhub has more than 100 employees around the world with offices in Denver, London, Berlin and Sofia.
