MoonPay, the global financial technology company for moving value across fiat and digital assets, has acquired Glide, which lets apps accept crypto deposits from any token, wallet, exchange, or card. Glide’s team, technology, and customers are joining MoonPay.
Glide built technology that apps use to accept crypto deposits without forcing users to jump through other apps to convert their funds to the right token on the right chain, a friction point that has historically resulted in painful onboarding or even lost funds. Founded in 2023 by Tushar Soni and Qinyu Tong, who led the team that built Robinhood’s crypto wallet, Glide is backed by Y Combinator, Titan Fund, and others.
Glide processes more than $100M in annual volume, supporting deposits and payments across 100+ tokens and 30+ blockchain networks, plus funding from centralized exchanges and fiat onramps. Its in-house routing layer connects any funding source to any destination, choosing between its own instant relayer and bridge-and-swap routes to optimize for speed and cost. Glide settles cross-chain transactions instantly while still supporting multi-million-dollar transfers.
Deposits are received through self-custodial escrow smart contracts, verifiable on-chain and built to support compliant funding flows. This technology will fold into MoonPay Deposits, making it the most compliant non-custodial funding solution in the market.
“Deposits are a natural starting point for new users to bring funds on the platform. ” said Ivan Soto-Wright, CEO and co-founder of MoonPay. “Glide has built some of the best deposit technology in the market. Bringing their team into MoonPay accelerates our deposits strategy and puts us at the center of where this category is headed.”
This is MoonPay’s sixth acquisition announcement of 2026, following Sodot (key management, forming the basis of MoonPay Institutional), Decent and DFlow (which became MoonPay Trade), Entendre (AI accounting agents), and Dawn Labs (AI-native trading infrastructure). Glide’s technology will fold into MoonPay Deposits, the product MoonPay already runs for apps including Wallet in Telegram, Moonshot, and Paysafe.
“We built Glide so users could fund their wallets quickly with the tokens they already have and for apps to streamline their onboarding,” said Tushar Soni, CEO and co-founder of Glide. “Joining MoonPay lets us combine our deposits product with everything else that MoonPay has to offer like ramps, virtual accounts, and swaps and bring that to the largest apps in the world.”
Glide’s existing customers won’t see any disruption. Soni and Tong are both joining MoonPay.
