MoonPay, the global financial technology company for moving value across fiat and digital assets, announced it has become the first and only digital currency company to offer Cash App Pay as a payment method on its platform. Eligible US customers can now use their Cash App balance to purchase digital assets on MoonPay and through select partners across its network.*
The experience is frictionless: once linked, customers can complete a purchase with Cash App Pay without ever leaving the MoonPay buy flow — no redirects, no re-authentication, just one-tap checkout. The integration is also live with select partners across MoonPay’s network including Trust Wallet, Bitcoin.com, MetaMask, Moonshot, Ledger, BitPay, Uniswap, Tangem, LOBSTR and Edge.
“Cash App is where tens of millions of Americans already manage their money,” said Ivan Soto-Wright, CEO and co-founder of MoonPay. “This integration means that those users can access the digital asset ecosystem, funded instantly from an app they already know and trust. We couldn’t be more excited to partner with Cash App to make that a reality.”
That trust is grounded in MoonPay’s regulatory depth. The company holds a BitLicense and New York Limited Purpose Trust Company Charter from the NYDFS, alongside MiCA authorization across the EU and registrations in the UK, Australia, and Canada, making it one of the most comprehensively licensed crypto companies in the world.
“We’re proud to bring Cash App Pay to MoonPay and offer our customers a seamless, familiar payment experience at checkout,” said Morgan Kuntze, Global Partnerships Lead at Cash App’s parent company Block. “While bitcoin remains at the core of our digital asset strategy, we want to give customers choice and flexibility wherever and however they choose to pay.”
*Cash App Pay services are provided by Block, Inc. Block, Inc. does not provide virtual currency services in connection with Cash App Pay.
