OKX, a leading global crypto exchange and Official Primary Partner of McLaren Racing, revealed a special commemorative livery that will feature on McLaren’s MCL40 race cars at this weekend’s Italian Grand Prix, and the inaugural Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid next weekend.
The design is a tribute to the OKX and McLaren partnership, dating back to the 2022 season. Since then, McLaren has risen from the middle of the grid to Constructors’ World Champions in 2024 and 2025.
The Monza livery adds to a growing legacy of bespoke collaborations between the two organizations, following the Stealth Mode livery at the 2023 Singapore Grand Prix, the McLaren SENNA presented by OKX campaign at the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix, and the Riviera-inspired livery that ran across the 2025 Monaco and Spanish Grands Prix.
Each design has told a different chapter of the partnership’s story and added to the legacy of McLaren Racing over the years. The 2024 SENNA campaign at the Monaco Grand Prix is the most successful livery in the team’s history for digital fan engagement, underlining OKX and McLaren’s shared commitment to bringing fans closer to the team. The latest livery celebrates this ongoing collaboration.
When OKX became a Primary Partner of McLaren Racing in 2022, the team was sitting mid-table, in one of the most challenging periods in its history, but OKX’s belief never wavered. That commitment and investment has contributed towards transformative advancements in McLaren’s technological infrastructure, including its state-of-the-art wind tunnel, which transformed how the team approaches aerodynamic development. The partnership has supported McLaren’s rise from midfield to back-to-back Constructors’ World Championships, a turnaround that stands as one of the most dramatic in recent Formula 1 history.
“Our livery campaigns with OKX have consistently served as a season highlight. The iconic 2024 SENNA design remains one of our most successful campaigns to date, generating an extraordinary global response across generations of fans,” said Louise McEwen, Chief Marketing Officer, McLaren Racing. “This success underscores the profound value of our partnership, and we are thrilled to celebrate our ongoing, shared achievements in Monza and Madrid this year.”
“When we partnered with McLaren Racing in 2022, the team was mid-table and the road ahead wasn’t obvious to everyone, but we believed in what this team could become,” said Haider Rafique, Global Managing Partner & Chief Marketing Officer, OKX. “From Singapore to Monaco to the Riviera, every livery we’ve created together has marked a different moment in that journey. This one is about the partnership itself: what it took to get here, and what it represents for the team, for our brand, and for fans who’ve watched this story unfold with us.”
The livery will debut on both McLaren MCL40s driven by Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri throughout the Italian Grand Prix weekend at Monza, as well as the Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid.
