Ritual, a decentralized open AI infrastructure network, announced the official launch of the Ritual Foundation, a significant step toward its goal of making AI more secure, accessible, and integrated within decentralized ecosystems. The Ritual Foundation will lead the adoption of the Ritual Chain globally, accelerating the ecosystem with grants, governance, educational resources, and community-driven guidance.
As an independent organization, the Ritual Foundation will play a key role in taking the Ritual network to market, building strategic partnerships, and onboarding the next generation of applications and protocols. With a clear mandate to support the Ritual Chain’s mission, the Foundation will focus on expanding the developer community, aligning the existing Ritual ecosystem with the needs of AI model developers and users, and offering both technical and financial support through its dedicated ecosystem program. This initiative invites builders to create in Ritual’s ecosystem with resources and guidance from ideation to deployment.
The Ritual Chain private testnet will bring to life the first Layer 1 blockchain with AI functionality embedded directly into the chain. Built on a EVM-based architecture, Ritual Chain enables AI models to operate securely within decentralized applications (dApps) while offering computational guarantees necessary for applications to trust the AI’s outputs and performance. This expansion from Ritual’s Infernet decentralized oracle network (DON) to the Ritual Chain mainnet represents an inflection point in blockchain functionality, providing developers with the tools to build dApps that can integrate advanced AI capabilities directly on-chain.
