Mocaverse, Animoca Brands’ marquee platform for consumers to maximize their Web3 exposure to experiences and rewards with a single login entry point, announced today a business partnership with SK Planet, one of South Korea’s largest information and communications technology platforms, to co-create blockchain-enabled user experiences within SK Planet’s existing internet services, which will make use of Mocaverse’s Realm SDK.
SK Planet and Mocaverse are planning to onboard SK Planet’s 28 million KYC’d members to Web3 by integrating the full stack of Mocaverse’s Realm SDK into the SK Planet digital ecosystem, which includes a global account, identity, and reputation layer that enables users to accumulate, own, and use their assets across multiple ecosystems and applications.
In addition to tapping into the network effects across Animoca Brands’ ecosystem of 540+ portfolio companies and Moca Network’s 80+ partners, SK Planet will join as a Realm SDK partner alongside One Football and MyAnimeList to cross-pollinate a combined ~250 million monthly active users on these platforms and provide priority access to a variety of Web3 experiences including gaming, IP-based products and services, sports, music, and more.
Additionally, SK Planet will look to adopt MOCA Foundation’s MOCA Coin as the utility currency for its internet services; MOCA Coin will be the first crypto token used within SK Planet’s Internet services and will serve as one of the core user rewards for consumer onboarding for popular SK Planet services including OK Cashbag, Syrup, and others.
