Aworker review: a recruitment platform powered by blockchain

May 22, 2018 By Crypto Reporter

We had a chance to exchange opinions with Aworker team at the World Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Summit 2018 in Moscow. Co-founders Michael Barkov and Anton Cherkasov talked in depth about their blockchain platform.

New approach to recruitment

Michael Barkov said that CV (a written overview of a person’s experience and other qualifications for a job opportunity) will stay in the past. Soon all information about candidates, including their previous experience and recommendations, will be stored online, and preferably on blockchain.

Aworker is a blockchain-based ecosystem, where participants will be able to share professional information about themselves. This info will be verified by community of professionals from related industries.

Advantages of Aworker

Aworker solves two issues for recruiters: it reduces the costs of hiring staff and helps to find the most suitable candidates. At the same time, candidates can confirm their skills and find better jobs on the platform.

Companies will be able to create vacancies using the capabilities of smart contracts. Also they will check the core information about candidates in the blockchain: his/her verified skills, competencies, completed projects, recommendations, etc.

The difference between Aworker and, for example, Linkedin is that once the professional history is recorded on blockchain, it can’t be altered. It means the information about candidates is more reliable comparing to the same kind of information stored in a centralized data storage.

WORK tokens economy

In Aworker, participants will be able to recommend their acquaintances to open positions and get paid in WORK tokens if the recommended person is hired. So, everyone can get rewards for their recommendations. The detailed breakdown of the rewards can be found in the whitepaper.

The demand for WORK tokens on the market will be conditioned by the recruiters’ need to use the tokens for payments during all stages of finding and recruiting the candidate on the platform, for monthly payments for the access to the business account, for placement of advertisements in Aworker app.

Quick facts

– Aworker ICO will start soon, the exact date to be defined.
– There were three pre-sale stages, all of them finished successfully.
– The company is registered in Estonia, the founders and developers are from Russia.
– The targeted markets are USA, European and Asian countries.
– MVP is already released and can be found here: https://app.aworker.io/login
