WeaveVM, the hyperscalable EVM network designed for unparalleled storage and high-throughput data availability (DA), has officially launched its Alphanet V0.1.0 . Developed by Decent Land Labs, this solution addresses challenges in the blockchain industry, including the EVM storage bottleneck and the inefficiencies of temporary DA.
In addition to its testnet announcement, WeaveVM has attracted significant attention from investors, raising a $3 million seed round. Backers include Longhash, LD Capital, Foresight Ventures, and BigBrain, with advisors such as Sherman Lee, advisor to Animoca Brands, and John Scianna, partner at Web3.com Ventures.
“WeaveVM DA and storage is 14 times cheaper than our closest competitors,” said Benjamin Brandall, CEO and co-founder of Decent Land Labs. “And unlike our competitors, storage is permanent, not purged after 14-30 days.”
WeaveVM is the only EVM chain using Arweave for storage, ensuring long-term data security and accessibility.
WeaveVM offers a high-performance network, featuring 1 gigagas per second capacity, 48,000 transactions per second (TPS), and throughput exceeding 125MB/s. These capabilities position WeaveVM as the place for high-performance chains and data-intensive dApps to settle and store onchain data, without worrying about cost, availability, or permanence.
“WeaveVM is not just another chain; it’s lifting the storage barrier that’s as old as the EVM itself. By integrating permanent, verified data streams with MegaETH-grade throughput, we’re setting a new standard for scalability, cost-efficiency, and data permanence. This is how the next generation of chains will handle storage and data availability,” said Brandall.
WeaveVM is currently exploring DA and storage integration partnerships with a number of L2s including RSS3 VSL, GOAT Network, and parallel EVM pioneer RISE Labs.
Benjamin Brandall and Rani Elhusseini founded Decent Land Labs in 2021. Both founders have deep roots in the blockchain space, having been early builders in the Arweave ecosystem. Before venturing into crypto, Benjamin led growth efforts at Chameleon.io, a Silicon Valley SaaS company, while Rani was a lead engineer at Poloniex, where he spearheaded the exchange’s decentralized pivot.
As the WeaveVM Alphanet V0.1.0 goes live, developers, enterprises, and blockchain enthusiasts are invited to explore its capabilities and contribute to the ongoing evolution of decentralized technology.
