BlockJoy’s BlockVisor 2.0 Proves Web3 Doesn’t Need the Cloud

November 4, 2024 By Crypto Reporter PR

BlockJoy, the company providing blockchain nodes-as-a-service for node-operating enterprises, today announced the launch of BlockVisor 2.0, a solution designed to empower blockchain node operators to manage their own dedicated blockchain nodes effortlessly. With BlockVisor 2.0, users can deploy nodes on any bare metal infrastructure, achieving up to 80% cost savings over traditional cloud providers like AWS.

“If you’re running blockchain nodes on AWS, aren’t you just making the network less decentralized?” said Chris Bruce, co-founder and CEO of BlockJoy. “BlockVisor 2.0 realizes the true promise of a decentralized Web3, tearing down the walls of centralized infrastructure, enabling operators to seize control without the cloud’s price gouging and performance penalties. Web3 should be about independence, diversification, and resilience, not reliance.”

Traditional cloud infrastructure often falls short for blockchain operations due to high costs, lower-performing virtualized services, and unpredictable egress fees. BlockJoy tackles these challenges with custom-built blockchain node infrastructure that allows operators the ability to run nodes on any bare metal servers, maximizing throughput and performance while avoiding costly cloud fees. With BlockVisor 2.0, users can quickly deploy and manage nodes on any bare metal server, enabling scalability and reinforcing the push toward a more decentralized Web3 ecosystem.

“At Goldsky, we work with some pretty demanding gaming clients who need super-fast data delivery, especially when their user activity spikes. Working with BlockJoy has made a big difference for us,” said Kevin Li from Goldsky, an early adopter of BlockJoy. “BlockVisor allows us to scale our nodes and keep latency low quickly. In the early days of Web3, we realized that traditional solutions just didn’t meet our needs. Partnering with BlockJoy helps us stay flexible and reliable for our clients.”

Node Management Made Easy

BlockJoy’s approach simplifies node management, enabling enterprises to deploy and oversee their blockchain nodes effortlessly while eliminating the high overhead costs of traditional cloud infrastructure. With the release of BlockVisor 2.0, BlockJoy has already seen rapid success, adding nearly half a million dollars in new ARR within the first three months from customers like Goldsky, 0x, and TrueBlocks, LLC. By abandoning Amazon’s Firecracker VM, BlockVisor 2.0 delivers a 10X improvement in performance on bare-metal infrastructure, further proving that traditional cloud virtual machine architectures are a poor fit for Web3.

BlockJoy has added over 524 new nodes to its platform in the last three months. These nodes run protocols such as Ethereum ($ETH), Polygon ($MATIC), Sui ($SUI), Near ($NEAR), and Solana ($SOL). The platform currently supports over 30 different chains and adds more weekly.
