Sign Secures $25.5M Strategic Investment Led by YZi Labs, with IDG Capital Participation to Build Blockchain Infrastructure for Global Nations

October 22, 2025 By Crypto Reporter PR

Sign, a blockchain technology company building national-scale digital infrastructure, announced it has successfully closed a $25.5 million strategic investment round led by YZi Labs with IDG Capital participating. The funding will help advance the company’s mission of designing and implementing secure, resilient blockchain infrastructure for sovereign nations globally.

The capital infusion will be deployed with the aim of strengthening strategic partnerships with leading ecosystem players to accelerate the development of sovereign blockchain infrastructure, and building a new team of technical experts with deep experience in existing financial systems to bridge the gap between legacy infrastructure and decentralized technology.

This investment from YZi Labs, its second significant commitment to Sign following its lead role in the company’s Series A round, represents a strong show of confidence in Sign’s long-term vision and capabilities in the sovereign infrastructure space.

“While blockchain and sovereign nations may hold different ideological foundations, they can in fact benefit greatly from each other,” says Xin Yan, Co-founder and CEO of Sign. “Our goal is to deliver blockchain-based services to 50 million people in the first year, and to gradually shape a global protocol that connects nations through technology. There are only 192 clients in the world, and we’re moving fast.”

As a first-mover in government blockchain adoption, Sign has already begun collaborating with governments around the world to design and implement national-scale blockchain projects, securing future sustainable revenue streams by obtaining franchise-like rights for upcoming national projects. It’s built a global network dedicated to educating, advising, and empowering governments, providing technical expertise, policy guidance, and world-class blockchain infrastructure solutions.

The company recently launched its whitepaper, outlining its technical vision and offerings under Sovereign Infrastructure for Global Nations (S.I.G.N.), and is actively working with both technologically advanced nations and those early stages of digital transformation. Sign will soon announce several ongoing projects in collaboration with multiple governments.

Leadership

Sign is led by Co-founder and CEO Xin Yan, who began his career as a hardware engineer before becoming a crypto venture capitalist, and now spearheads the vision to build national-scale blockchain infrastructure. Co-founder and CTO Jack Xu is a recognized blockchain technology expert who previously taught the Blockchain Minor program at the University of Southern California (USC) and leads the company’s technical strategy and architecture.

About Sign

Sign is a blockchain technology company leading the industry in token distribution and verifiable credentials, now focused on building blockchain infrastructure for nations and enterprises. Sign has successfully launched multiple applications and protocols, serving over 50 million users and facilitating billions of dollars in token transactions. Founded in 2021, Sign previously raised from all three branches of Sequoia Capital (US, India, China) with additional backing from Circle, Amber, and others. Its team of cryptographic and computer science experts hail from Harvard, Cornell, Columbia, UC Berkeley and USC.
