The Vault, an institutional digital asset custody and treasury infrastructure platform, is partnering with Halborn, the blockchain security firm behind more than 4,000 security assessments for financial institutions and blockchain ecosystem leaders, to launch a joint Advisory Program for institutions building or upgrading their digital asset infrastructure.
The program pairs two disciplines that are usually delivered separately. The Vault brings hands-on experience deploying custody, treasury, and wallet infrastructure across cloud and on-premise environments, along with deep familiarity with regulatory requirements across Swiss and EU frameworks, including FINMA and MiCA. Halborn contributes independent risk and security validation, drawing on work spanning over $1 trillion in value protected and engagements with five of the world’s ten largest banks.
Together, the two teams guide institutions through a structured four to six week engagement: scoping the business’s current position and goals, mapping its existing organisational and technical setup, designing a modular target architecture across custody, compliance, treasury, and reporting, and validating the resulting plan through Halborn’s independent security review. The output is The Vault Blueprint, a concrete infrastructure plan the institution owns outright, whether it chooses to implement it with The Vault, with another provider, or independently.
“We designed The Vault’s architecture around institutions that need more than a platform, they need infrastructure that fits how they actually operate. But a well-designed system is not the same as a secure one until someone outside your own team has tried to break it. That is what Halborn brings to this partnership: independent testing at a level few institutions build in-house. By the time a client sees the plan, it has already been independently tested, not after the fact, but as part of how we build it,” said Artem Stopnevich, CEO of The Vault.
“Financial services are transforming, and institutions are adopting digital assets at an unprecedented rate. The underlying infrastructure has to keep pace — that’s why we’re proud to partner with The Vault to help banks, treasuries, and financial institutions build the custody architecture they actually need. Halborn brings deep experience at the intersection of TradFi and DeFi, and we’ll provide independent risk and security validation for firms implementing The Vault Blueprint” said Jacques Boschung, CEO of Halborn.
The Advisory Program is aimed at corporate treasuries, banks, financial institutions, asset managers, family offices and payment providers, evaluating how to bring digital assets in-house, upgrade existing infrastructure, or validate a build already underway. The program is open now; institutions can request an initial scoping conversation at advisory@thevault.inc or shweta.reihill@halborn.com.
