Zodia Custody Granted MiCA License by Luxembourg Regulator

December 22, 2025 By Crypto Reporter PR

Zodia Custody, the institution-first crypto assets service provider with key shareholders including Standard Chartered, National Australia Bank, Northern Trust, SBI Holdings, and Emirates NBD, announced that it has been granted its Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) license by Luxembourg’s Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF). This authorisation enables Zodia Custody Europe to provide regulated digital asset custody services with Europe-wide recognition and will allow access across EU Member States.

Sophie Bowler, Chief Risk and Compliance Officer at Zodia Custody, shared: “Regulatory authorisation from the CSSF is a milestone accomplishment for Zodia Custody Europe, and proves our commitment to offering our institutional clients licensed and authorised digital assets custody services. Our commitment to compliance and our risk-first approach means institutions can fearlessly engage in the digital assets future without compromise.”

“Gaining authorisation from the CSSF further underscores Zodia Custody’s commitment to regulatory compliance in all markets where we operate,“ said Ami Nagata, Managing Director, Luxembourg, at Zodia Custody Europe. “We look forward to the opportunity to support clients across Europe under our newly licensed activities.”

To further support local presence, Zodia Custody Europe is proud to announce that Daniel Soriano has been appointed as an Authorised Manager alongside Nagata in the Luxembourg office. Daniel brings deep experience aligned with Zodia Custody’s risk-first culture from across different leading European technology institutions.

At a Group level, Zodia Custody currently operates under registrations and authorisations from multiple regulators, including the Financial Conduct Authority, Central Bank of Ireland, ADGM Financial Services Regulatory Authority, and Hong Kong Companies Registry. To serve client needs globally, Zodia Custody continues to participate in conversations with regulators not only to gain licenses but to shape the regulated future of digital assets.
