From DAG-Powered PoW to Halborn Audits Certification— BlockDAG Keynote 3 Highlights Unbreakable Security and Fund Protection

March 29, 2025 By CryptoReporter

With the growth of blockchain technology worldwide, safety has become a top requirement rather than an optional feature. Many platforms have suffered from security breaches, flawed systems, and centralized weak spots, leading users to be more alert. BlockDAG (BDAG), a Layer 1 protocol preparing for its mainnet debut in 2025, takes a different route focused entirely on protection.

Rather than chasing hype or speed alone, BlockDAG has focused on security from the beginning. From its unique consensus design to thorough auditing and advanced protection for stored assets, the project builds a system designed to defend and perform. Here’s how that effort is being executed.

GhostDAG and DAG Structure: Improving Performance with Strong Defense

BlockDAG relies on a special structure that combines security and scalability—its Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) method is backed by Proof-of-Work (PoW). This hybrid setup goes beyond typical design choices and functions as a defense strategy. Linear transaction chains in traditional systems often cause delays and become easy targets.

By allowing multiple confirmations at the same time, BlockDAG lowers delays and limits risk from potential attacks. As explained by Chief Security Officer Dr. Youssef Khaoulaj, “A DAG-based blockchain allows parallel transaction approvals, which cuts down congestion and makes breaches harder to pull off.” The result is a setup built for both speed and toughness.

PoW adds another layer of safety by confirming each transaction with mathematical proof, while DAG boosts this strength across the network. Together, they form a system that prioritizes both decentralization and resistance to attacks, introducing a new model for blockchain safety.

Certik, Halborn, and Ongoing Review Before Mainnet Launch

Security needs real proof, not just plans. BlockDAG has worked with trusted cybersecurity firms Certik and Halborn, both of whom have already approved the platform’s vesting contracts. This has brought assurance to early supporters. But the project plans to go further.

Dr. Khaoulaj shared during Keynote 3 that a full-scale audit of the BlockDAG chain is on track ahead of its launch. It’s not about ticking boxes but setting a foundation. “At BlockDAG, security forms the core of all our work,” he emphasized. While many networks rush to release, BlockDAG carefully checks each level of its framework for flaws or weaknesses.

From smart contracts to core operations, the aim is to start with thoroughly tested code. These reviews are not just formal steps but public displays of safety in a space where clarity is often missing.

Using MPC and Distributed Strategies for Asset Safety

Among the lesser-discussed security challenges is how access keys and funds are managed. BlockDAG faces this issue directly using Multi-Party Computation (MPC) to manage treasury and fund safety. Instead of depending on one person or system, MPC spreads access among several parties to lower the chance of misuse or errors.

This shared method greatly limits the chance of one group or attacker taking over the platform’s assets. It’s not just a clever system—it’s necessary in today’s risky environment. Additionally, BlockDAG is setting up global, fault-resistant systems to keep the network running even if targeted disruptions happen.

With the DAG’s natural resistance to failure and planned bug bounty programs, the project aims for a deep and lasting security setup. The strategy is forward-thinking—exactly what’s needed as blockchain grows.

Final Say!

In a space often driven by speed and market excitement, BlockDAG is taking a steadier path that focuses on reliability, structure, and smart design. With its DAG + PoW model, high-standard audits, and secure fund systems using MPC, the entire system is built with strong defense as a key value long before the first mainnet block is released.

As the project moves closer to 2025, BlockDAG isn’t just talking about new ideas—it’s showing that strong and secure networks can be made from the start. In an industry full of risks and technical flaws, BlockDAG presents itself as a stronghold. For those watching closely, it shows where careful users and smart builders are likely to go.
