Sygnia Expands Cyber Insurance Expertise with Global Risk and Insurance Leader Elissa Doroff

July 9, 2025 By Business Wire

Elissa to spearhead Sygnia’s strategic vision to bridge cybersecurity operations with legal and insurance sectors.

TEL AVIV & NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sygnia, the foremost global cyber readiness and response team, announced the addition of Elissa Doroff as Director of Cyber Insurance and Legal Partnerships. Doroff joins with two decades of experience, holding leadership positions at insurance and brokerage firms, including Mosaic Insurance, Lockton, NFP, AXA XL, Marsh and AIG.

Bridging the world of cybersecurity and the legal and insurance sectors, Doroff expands Sygnia’s capabilities to advise clients navigating the cyber threat landscape, aligning incident response strategy with cyber insurance and law firms to streamline collaboration during incident response and recovery efforts.

In her new role, Doroff will lead Sygnia’s cyber insurance and legal partnership strategy, driving engagement with insurers and breach counsel to enhance incident response and client resilience. She will also be responsible for strengthening partnerships with global insurance practices, ensuring organizations have access to world-class incident response, cyber readiness, and managed detection and response services as part of their policy offerings.

“Cyber insurance is not just about covering financial loss. It equips organizations with the proactive services they need to stay ahead of evolving threats,” said Doroff. “What sets Sygnia apart is our ability to deliver end-to-end cyber readiness and incident response, with the flexibility and depth to operate effectively in complex environments—ranging from cryptocurrency ecosystems to operational technology. We ensure policyholders are fully supported before, during, and after a cyber-attack.”

Prior to joining Sygnia, Doroff was Head of Claims for the Americas at Mosaic Insurance where she led claims strategy across a wide portfolio including cyber, technology, financial institutions, transactional liability and political risk. Doroff’s deep insurance and legal experience has been instrumental in supporting various Fortune 50 clients on complex cyber-related claims and activities, including resolving high-value litigation, navigating evolving regulatory landscapes, and crafting tailored risk transfer strategies.

“As cyber-attacks continue to rise globally, cyber insurance is critical to strengthening an organization’s cyber security posture and ensuring business continuity,” said Avi Golan, Sygnia CEO. “Elissa’s experience supporting some of the most high-profile claims related to cyber-attacks will be critical to ensuring Sygnia is well positioned to work alongside insurance partners to improve the cybersecurity ecosystem.”
