Copper, the London-based custodian for digital assets, has been awarded “best digital custodian” at the HFM European Hedge Fund Services Awards 2019. HFM added the category this year, recognising the growing potential for digital assets in the hedge fund space.
The nomination focused on how Copper’s offline custody can be layered with existing infrastructures to provide a prime brokerage service in cryptocurrencies.
The HFM Awards are judged by an independent panel of leading hedge fund COOs, CFOs, CCOs, GCs and CTOs.
The award follows shortly after an announcement of Copper’s “optical air-gapping” feature, which further secures the integrity of an offline machine used to store private keys.
Dmitry Tokarev, Founder and CEO, commented: “We are both honoured and excited to receive the award for best digital custodian. HFM sees the potential in digital assets for hedge funds and other financial institutions and we are thrilled to be recognised as one of the best to service these industries. Our clients are already reaping the benefits of our custody and prime brokerage services that enable them to participate in the crypto markets efficiently without fearing bad actors.”
