The Near Kenya Hub was honored at an awards ceremony during this year’s Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain and Cryptocurrency (AIBC) Eurasia summit.
Hosted at the Intercontinental Hotel Festival City in Dubai on 13th – 16th March, the AIBC Eurasia Summit brings together policy-makers, developers, investors and entrepreneurs to network and celebrate the growing Web3 and AI ecosystems. Across four days of education panels, keynote speeches and networking events, the summit aims to drive forward technical innovation through collaboration. It also hosts an awards gala for top innovators and communities in the global AI and Web3 industries in Europe, Africa and Asia
At this year’s AIBC awards, Near Kenya Regional Hub was among the winners, receiving The Web3 Community in Africa prize. The honor celebrates the strong and vibrant community built by the NEAR Kenya hub and the role it has played in supporting blockchain development and ecosystem building both in Kenya and across Africa.
“We are extremely proud to receive the Web3 Community in Africa award,” said Kevin Imani, Head of Near Hub Kenya. “This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our committed team as we educate and nurture talented individuals to become world-class blockchain developers.”
The Near Kenya Hub, founded in Nairobi in May 2022, supports the African community building on NearProtocol. The hub coordinates funding and grants for exciting projects throughout the continent, whilst also organizing meetups and hackathons to create a tight-net ecosystem of like minded developers.
