NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Avalanche Treasury Co. (Nasdaq: AVAT) (“AVAT” or the “Company”), a publicly traded digital asset treasury company focused on the Avalanche ecosystem, announced the appointment of Virginia Gambale to its Board of Directors.
Gambale is an accomplished technology leader, investor and experienced board director with deep expertise spanning financial services, emerging technology and public company governance. She has served on more than 20 public and private company boards and currently serves as Chair of the Board of Nutanix, as well as a director of EVERTEC and Virtu Financial.

Gambale is Managing Partner of Azimuth Partners LLC, where she advises companies on the adoption of disruptive and emerging technologies, including AI, quantum computing, cloud, data analytics and blockchain. She previously held senior management positions, including CIO and Managing Director roles, at Merrill Lynch, Bankers Trust, Deutsche Bank and Marsh & McLennan. She also served as Head of Deutsche Bank Strategic Ventures and subsequently as a General Partner at Deutsche Bank Capital and ABS Ventures before founding Azimuth Partners in 2003.
In addition to her current public company board roles, Gambale’s prior board service includes JetBlue Airways, Piper Jaffray, Synchronoss Technologies and FD Technologies, among others. She is also an adjunct faculty member and mentor for Columbia University’s Masters in Technology Leadership program and serves on the Board of Trustees of The Juilliard School. Gambale holds a B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science from the New York Institute of Technology.
